In 2006, the Student Council at ISCB conceptualized ‘Regional Student Groups (RSGs)’ with the aim to promote interaction among students pursuing research in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
In 2024, RSG-Iraq was established in Baghdad with long term vision of advancing the Bioinformatics Research in the area.
